38 Week Update!

How far along? 38 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I was 206 at my last appointment and apparently I started out at 180 (not 190) so that means I've gained 26 lbs!
Maternity clothes? For sure! I think the bump is maxed out though!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I've been waking up in the middle of the night again. Last night I was wide awake at 2:30 until 7ish, but then I slept until noon. Good thing I can do that right now!
Best moment this week: Just feeling those little kicks makes me happy these days.
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? I miss sleeping on my stomach and back! :) Being in bed all the time with only two laying positions is kinda boring, but if that's the worst of my problems I'm good to go!
Movement: Priscilla has been rolling around a lot...less punches, but just as many rolls and other movement going on!
Food cravings: No cravings.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Eating too much!
Have you started to show yet: Uhhh, yeah!

Gender prediction: Girl
Labor Signs: I had a random diarrhea attack Saturday (sorry for the TMI) and they say that can be a sign that labor is around the corner! (Well, I hope...there's only 2 weeks left!)
Belly Button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: I am beyond ready to meet this little baby girl! Her daddy is ready to hold her and we are all ready to start life with this angel. I can't wait to see who she looks like. I am looking forward to the moment labor begins. Call me crazy, but bring on the pain. That means she is on her way! Hopefully I'll be posting pics of Priscilla for my 40 week post! (Dr says she won't let me go past 40 weeks so it won't be long after that if she's not here by then!)

36 Week Update!

How far along? 36 weeks, 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: I was 203 at my last appointment!
Maternity clothes? All I've worn since Wednesday, May 25th, is pajamas thanks to bed rest!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I have been sleeping great. I wake up sweating every night, but I'm making up for any lost sleep being on bed rest! :) Might as well enjoy it while I can!
Best moment this week: Mama passed her kidney stone this past Sunday!!! It was my biggest stone yet and it was such a relief to get that thing out! I can finally focus on the last few weeks of pregnancy!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? I don't really miss anything, but I will be happy when baby girl is here and bed rest is over. I feel so lazy these days!
Movement: Priscilla and I have spent a lot of time bonding...she likes to push back when I rub on my tummy! Being on bed rest has allowed me to feel all of the big and little movements!
Food cravings: No cravings.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Eating too much!
Have you started to show yet: My tummy kind of looks like a prosthetic one like you see in the movies. My belly button is so stretched and my tummy is so tight it almost looks fake! :)

Gender prediction: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? It's as flat as a pancake and sticks out at the top!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!

Looking forward to: I cannot wait to meet this little princess! We had a great time at our birth and beyond class, got to see P during our ultrasound, found out she has hair, didn't get to see her face b/c she still likes to hide behind her arms, and got all the baby stuff washed and ready the day before bed rest! At our 35 week appointment I had high blood pressure that wouldn't go away. I wound up having to do a 24 hour urine analysis. On Wednesday, the 25th, I took the urine sample back and was sent to the hospital due to high blood pressure (again). They were able to do lab work and get the urine analysis done super fast so I had spend the day there. I found out that there is protein in my urine and the only way my blood pressure stays normal is if I'm laying. I was sent home and I've been on bed rest ever since. On my way to my checkup this past Wednesday, June 1st, Haha and I were rear-ended in Austin traffic. I was so scared that something could have been wrong so I got to take my first ambulance ride to the hospital. They picked up P's heartbeat right away and all was right in the world again. She started kicking on the ride over (while they put an IV in my arm, to be exact!) and I knew everything would be ok. We spent the afternoon there and after 4ish hours we were released. During the middle of our stay the nurse asked me if I was feeling my contractions. I wish I could have seen the look on my face! Luckily I was not dilated so they were just Braxton Hicks contractions. I can't believe I didn't even know I was having them! P was as active as ever so I felt completely safe going home. They checked my fluids before we left and I still had plenty so I was ready to get back to bed. It was quite the eventful day. The best part was that little sneak peak I got at P during the ultrasound. I got to see her face for a split second, but then she decided to hide from us again. All in all, I'm glad everything is good and she's doing great! Not much longer now...

34 Week Update!

How far along? 34 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: I'm not sure, but I have an appointment Monday so I will find out. I feel like I've gained a lot of weight though!
Maternity clothes? Yes, and it better not be the least bit tight or I won't wear it! :)
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I went thru a short period of waking every night at 3, 4 or 5AM and not being able to go back to sleep. Luckily, I've been sleeping better. Kidney stones have thrown me for a loop though...when the pain strikes there's no sleeping! They're the reason I skipped my last blog post!
Best moment this week: Since it's been a month since my last blog I'll say the best moment has been coming home from the beach today! I wish I could have relaxed more, but between the kidney stones, the massive amount of stuff I need to do for P's arrival and the anxiety of being so far from home kept me from enjoying my last vacation for a while. I did get some beach time and plenty of naps, but there's no place like home!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? I miss NOT having kidney stones! They have been quite a pain. Oh and let's not forget my hospital visits for constipation! I thought the pain was just from that, but it turns out it was constipation AND kidney stones combined. Worst pain of my life! I miss being pain free!
Movement: Priscilla has been moving a lot and the movements are much stronger. Love you, baby girl!
Food cravings: Nothing! My appetite has been lacking lately. There's no more room for food!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Anything when I'm full. I had to gag down a sandwich during my constipation phase...no fun!
Have you started to show yet: Very much so! Baby girl has really gotten big lately!

Gender prediction: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? I can see it thru my clothes, so I'm gonna say out even though it's just the top part that's poking out!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I've been in a lot of pain and have had anxiety...luckily I'm going back to the chiropractor tomorrow to hopefully fix those problems!

Looking forward to: I am really looking forward to seeing P in our last ultrasound Monday! We also have baby class this weekend and I'm so happy Ryan will be coming this time! I can't believe we have about 5.5 weeks left!

Sleep: I have started having a burning sensation in my hip/butt cheek if I lay on one side for too long so I'm constantly flipping over!
Best moment this week: We had our first baby shower Sunday and we got lots of fun stuff! Before the shower Priscilla was taking a nap and wouldn't move for mommy so mommy freaked out. I guess she knew I was scared and she's been an active little girl every day since! :)
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Normal clothes...but I don't care as long as P is healthy! :)
Movement: Priscilla has been moving a lot. I've had a few uncomfortable jabs, but I will never get tired of it!

Looking forward to: I am excited to hear P's heartbeat tomorrow and I can't believe we only have about 9.5 weeks left!!!

28 Week Update!

How far along? 28 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: I was 199.4 at my appointment last Wednesday, March 30th! I'm pretty sure at my next appointment I won't be in the 100s anymore! ;)
Maternity clothes? I'm not loving anything these days...all I wanna wear are tennis shoes, but those don't look cute with my limited wardrobe. I wish I could wear pajamas every day!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I would probably be sleeping better if Daddy was home. Or if I hadn't found another spider in the shower! I woke up last night thinking something was crawling on me.
Best moment this week: I got a phone call Friday from the doctor's office saying that I passed my glucose test! I am anemic, but I'll take an iron pill any day over not being able to have my sweets!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Daddy!!! He's working in Marble Falls and I lost count how many times I've cried because I miss him!
Movement: Priscilla moves a lot when she hears Daddy's voice. Haha finally felt her kicks last night.
Food cravings: I am over my sour cream addiction and I've moved on to just food in general! ;)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still kinda turned off by meat!
Have you started to show yet: I am getting bigger faster!

Gender prediction: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In, but it's starting to look a little flat. :)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I've been pretty happy, but I will be in a much better mood when Daddy gets home this weekend.

Looking forward to: I am excited that we have reached the third and final trimester! I can't wait to meet you, but I know you've got a little more baking to do! :)

26 Week Update!

How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: I was only 197 at my appointment on March 10th!
Maternity clothes? Yes! I don't know how pregnant ladies wear anything other than leggings or dresses!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I am sleeping ok. My nurse said not to fret if I wake up on my back sometimes. That has helped relax me a little more at night!
Best moment this week: Any kicks from baby girl...I've been sick for a week now so anytime she kicks me it makes me happy! We also decided that baby girl officially has a name...Priscilla Marie Janacek! People told me to wait until she arrives, but I just feel like this is her name. I can't picture her as anything else and I love it!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Not at all.
Movement: She's been having lots of "parties"!
Food cravings: I figured out I'm not craving flautas as much as I'm craving the sour cream I dip them in! ;)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still kinda turned off by meat!
Have you started to show yet: I am starting to get bigger all over my stomach!

Gender prediction: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In, but it's starting to look a little flat. :)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I've been pretty happy with the occasional moodiness. Haha says that I'm a little more bitchy these days! :)

Looking forward to: I am super excited about our baby showers! I can't wait to celebrate baby girl and can't believe this pregnancy is flying by! I'm also ready to start feeling good again. I'm sure as soon as this sickness goes away the fatigue will return. I plan on taking lots of naps whenever I can. They started painting our house today so hopefully things will move pretty quick and we can move into the house before P arrives!

24 Week Update!

How far along? 24 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: I will find out in 2 days. I'm guessing I'm right over 200!!!
Maternity clothes? Yes! I'm loving these maternity pants...can I wear them forever?!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: I am sleeping ok. I toss and turn a lot and catch myself waking up on my back. I tried out the new Aden + Anais pillow last night and it's good at keeping me on my side. No matter what my hips hurt every morning.
Best moment this week: On Sunday morning Ryan finally felt baby girl kick! It was 5:20 and they were so strong they woke me up. I grabbed Ryan's hand and he felt three sharp kicks...later on that morning he felt her again. I tried to get Haha and Granny to feel her, but she only wanted to kick for daddy that day! She's been a lot more active since then!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Not at all.
Movement: She's been kicking up a storm! I love feeling her move around! :)
Food cravings: I'm still craving chips and quest...and flautas...and anything sweet!
Anything making you queasy or sick: I have been turned off by meat lately.
Have you started to show yet: I am def looking more prego instead of just fat! :)

Gender prediction: Girl
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In, but it's starting to look a little flat. :)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I've been doing acupuncture for my anxiety and it's helping for the most part. I'm a little worried about the bad weather we are supposed to have tonight. Luckily Haha is letting me and daddy sleep in her room! I saw black on the radar for the first time! (I guess that's the next shade after pink!) I am glad we aren't in west Texas right now!

Looking forward to: I always look forward to my doctor appointments so I can hear that little heartbeat! I am going to finish our baby registry after my appointment. Our first baby shower is next month!

Mommy at 23 weeks 2 days!
